A-Plan Northampton has been praised for their ‘outstanding customer service’ in the town’s inaugural Mystery Shopping Awards.
Founded by Northampton’s Business Improvement District (BID), the accolades recognise excellence demonstrated by local businesses in a number of areas including service, sales, appearance and local knowledge. The team at A-Plan Northampton scored an outstanding 100% across the board, scooping top prize in the ‘professional services’ category.
A-Plan Northampton was observed by an undercover representative of the Mystery Shopping Scheme who noted, ‘I left feeling very happy with the standard of service I received…the member of staff dealt with me in an excellent manner…..(and) went that extra mile to help me… I would try here again as the personal touch made so much difference’; positive comments which ensured the branch was one of three other businesses – out of 59 – who achieved top marks for all aspects of customer care.
All participating businesses were awarded with certificates during a prestigious ceremony, which took place at the Borjia restaurant in Northampton’s Castilian Street. 32 businesses scored more than 90% in the scheme and received an extra special gold certificate to show they provide an excellent level of service to their customers; while 24 businesses scored over 75% and were awarded with silver.
Rob Purdie, BID executive director explained: “The Mystery Shopping Awards celebrate and showcase the many businesses that continue to provide superb shopping experiences through their fantastic customer service, as well as providing support and guidance for businesses who want to improve, too… The scheme shows that Northampton town centre businesses and shops place great importance on their customer service and recognise how it impacts on sales’ profits and customer loyalty.”
Branch Manager, Dave Aslett said: “It’s great for the team and the branch to secure this accolade and receive public recognition of the high standards we set ourselves here at A-Plan Insurance. Northampton BID do a fabulous job of promoting all of the businesses in Northampton and I hope that the awards help to increase awareness of all the fabulous services available in the town.”
